Pure IT CEO on Envisant Hot Seat

Did you catch Pure IT CEO, Jack Smith, on the Envisant Hot Seat?

Envisant and Pure IT partnered in 2022 to help bring credit unions top-level IT, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. Back in January, Jack sat down with Melissa Vidito, Director of Marketing, and Doug Williams, VP of Product Development and Strategy at Envisant, to chat about what makes Pure IT so special.

Pure IT was founded in September of 2016, but the idea for the company came about in 2014 when Jack was talking to his long time friend Becky Reed, the then COO of Lone Star Credit Union. At the time, Jack and several of the Pure IT co-founders were running a small boutique IT consulting firm, primarily serving the healthcare and oil and gas industries. When Becky called Jack looking for IT help for Lone Star Credit Union the idea for Pure IT was born.

After working with Becky and Lone Star, it became clear there was a need in the industry for a company like Pure IT; a company that truly embodies the credit union mantra of “people helping people”. These institutions needed a company as invested in helping and protecting their members as they are, not a company looking to sell certain software or hardware.

Today, Pure IT has served 143 credit unions (and counting) with asset sizes ranging from $5 million to $15 billion. When serving these credit unions, Pure IT follows the ARM method, Assess, Remediate, Manage. Beginning with an in-depth Infrastructure & Operations Assessment, Pure IT is able to determine the institution’s business objectives. Once there is a complete understanding of a credit union’s goals, we can begin to align the technology. It truly is a customized journey for each credit union, tailored to each institution’s individual needs.
