Lone Star Credit Union (LSCU), with assets of $175 million, serves more than 11,000 members in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. LSCU has positioned itself as a progressive entity in the industry, especially in terms of technology and information security. Where They Started

We spoke with Cruz Gomez, the VP of IT, and Jonathan Campos, an IT Support Analyst, to gain insights into LSCU’s comprehensive technology overhaul. Cruz joined the credit union’s IT department in 2016, when the IT team was grappling with inefficient processes. The sentiment regarding technological effectiveness was dismal, with network problems, an antiquated system, and sluggish servers hindering advancement and member services.
